Earlimart: Treble & Tremble
Aaron Espinoza sounds even more like Elliott Smith than usual on this excellent disc from 2004. Therefore, common sense tells me that fans of Elliott Smith may enjoy listening to this. I wonder if anything has ever been written about these guys that did not mention Elliott Smith. Anyway, this is a great batch of sad songs with pretty melodies and nice lush instrumentation.

Thanks to Mike for providing the link to this slice of digi-liquid-funktronic-ness. If you like synthesizers, BIG New Order-style beats, and vocoders, this one's for you. Kinda sounds like what Morris Day & the Time might have come up with, had they had the benefit of computers in the early 80s.
Here's some future-classic metal combining early Slayer-style thrash with the melodicism of 80s Metallica and dose of modern grindcore. Look out for some highly intelligent melodies and time changes and some brutal drumming.
